Prohibited Businesses List
At ArbitrageCard, we prioritize compliance and integrity in all our operations. As part of our commitment to these values, we have stringent policies for vetting our customers and ensuring we do not engage in business with certain high-risk or prohibited entities. Below is a list of business types which we do not resell gift cards for.
Sanctioned Entities
We do not conduct business with entities or individuals that appear on sanctions lists, such as those maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This includes individuals or entities involved in activities like terrorism, organized crime, or those that pose a threat to national security. We regularly use the OFAC Sanctions List at https://sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.gov/ to verify this.
Illegal Activities
ArbitrageCard strictly prohibits transactions with businesses involved in illegal activities such as human trafficking, illicit drug trade, weapons manufacturing and distribution, and other unlawful enterprises. This includes avoiding any businesses known for engaging in money laundering, fraud, criminal activities, terrorism, corruption, bribery, embezzlement, sanctions evasion, or scams.
Adverse Media
We avoid doing business with entities or individuals that have been identified in adverse media reports for involvement in significant negative activities, including but not limited to fraud, corruption, and severe environmental violations. We scan for specific keywords to determine if any users involved with ArbitrageCard correspond to these activities.
Shell Corporations
We do not engage with shell corporations that lack transparent ownership or parent entities, as these can be vehicles for money laundering and other illicit activities.
Additional Business Types
We reserve the right to refuse business to any entity or individual that we deem to be associated with any other high-risk industry or activity, even if it is currently included in this list.
